Automated Finished Syrup Room

Process Description

Beverage syrup is produced by blending water, sweeteners, flavor concentrates and other ingredients. The most common sweeteners are sugar and high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Simple syrup is made by dissolving crystalline sugar, then filtering the solution. HFCS is supplied from a storage tank. Flavor concentrate is unloaded from portable tote tanks or transferred to an ingredient mixing tank. Minor ingredients are dissolved in the ingredient mixing tank. The water feed is designed to ensure use of all of the raw materials. The various solutions are metered into the finished syrup storage tanks. The syrup may be aged in the tanks if necessary. The finished syrup is transferred to fillers or carbo-coolers by the filler feed pumps.
